Jason

At just 17 years old, Jason enlisted in the U.S. Army, completing Basic Training and Infantry AIT at Fort Benning, Georgia. During his six years of service, he served in the Republic of Panama, trained at the Jungle Operations Training Center, worked alongside the French military on the island of Martinique, and served in numerous other locations before leaving the Army as a Staff Sergeant (E-6). After using the GI Bill to attend the Basic Law Enforcement Academy, Jason began what would become an extraordinary 31-year, 9-month career with the Orange City Police Department. Throughout his career, he served in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Narcotics, Administration, and Training. He led the SWAT Team, graduated from Blackwater Sniper training, and ultimately retired with the rank of Lieutenant.

Allen

Recharge for Vets took Allen offshore for a deep sea fishing workshop focused on recharging through time on the water, hands-on experience, and connection outdoors.
 

As an Army Combat Engineer veteran and Firefighter Paramedic with the Orange City Fire Department, Allen has spent years serving others both in uniform and in his community. But even heroes need a moment to recharge their own batteries! We're proud to have given back to someone who has done so much for the community!

Devin

Devin Wooldridge is a former Sergeant in the United States Army who served as a 19D Cavalry Scout Team Leader with the 3rd Infantry Division. He deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn, later becoming a Small Arms Master Gunner and troop armorer. After his service, Devin found a new path in commercial construction as a project manager. He’s a dedicated husband of 10 years and father of three, who values time with his family above all else.

Josh

Josh has been a dedicated motorcycle officer for the Orange County Police Department for nearly ten years. He nominated James, and joined him for his recharge! You can see clips from their recharge at Blue Springs State Park below.

James

James is a proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served six years, including deployment to Iraq. After returning home, James continued his mission of service as a Field Training Officer and Firearms Instructor with the Orange City Police Department. He was nominated by a fellow officer and friend, Josh, who worked alongside James for many years and witnessed firsthand his dedication, leadership, and compassion. James has faced more than his share of trauma — both from combat overseas and from years of service as a police officer — yet he continues to show up every day with a positive attitude, training others, mentoring youth through the Orange City Police Cadet Program, and coaching his son’s football team.

Luke

Luke is a proud father of three and dedicated U.S. Army soldier with 12 years of service. Now Station Commander in Daytona Beach, Luke is one of three heroes chosen for our October Bonus Recharge!

Scott

Scott is Station Commander of the Orange City Recruiting Station, and was one of three heroes selected for our October Bonus Recharge! This incredible achievement is a reflection of his unmatched dedication, leadership, and passion for serving our community and guiding future soldiers toward success. He continues to raise the bar and inspire everyone around him.

Kevin

Kevin is our third hero chosen for the October Bonus Recharge! With 18 years of service, two deployments to Iraq, and a passion for mentoring the next generation, Kevin embodies true leadership and dedication.

Brittany

Brittany served five and a half years in the United States Army as a 25B Information Technology Specialist, enlisting just days after graduating high school. While serving, she also earned her CNA license, reflecting her lifelong commitment to caring for others. Today, she continues thats mission in her professional work while pursuing hr passion for the outdoors. Brittany has embraced new opportunities to reconnect with nature and focus on her mental well-being.

Adam

Adam Introduced Duck hunting to Mikol Rowland and is the reason Recharge for Vets exists. A True lover of the outdoors Adam has shared his experience and devotion to hunting throughout the years and I couldn't think of anyone better to Recharge. Adam set his camo aside and "dove" right into a Discover Scuba Diving trip hosted by Florida Dive Company, Showing him the amazing underwater world of blue springs. In addition to swimming with the fishes, Adam showed his love for the water by catching and releasing a few sharks the next day. Ending the trip the only way he knew how, Adam limited out on the Osceola Turkey.
