RECHARGE FOR VETS | Volusia County | Veterans Recharged, Communities Strengthened
Recharging Veterans
This past quarter, we had the honor of supporting several incredible veterans and their families:
-
The Williams Family – Marine Corps veterans Scott Williams and Gabe Camacho received essential items to support their quickly growing family.
-
Jason Sampsell – Army veteran and retired Police Lieutenant, Jason received supplies to help maintain and manage his farm.
-
Angelo Bosinski – After returning home from the Air Force, Veteran Angelo picked up items as he prepares for his next chapter, pursuing a career in firefighting.
-
Mike Kyp – Battalion Chief Mike Kyp was gifted items in celebration of his upcoming promotion to “Papa.”
We’re grateful to give back to those who’ve given so much.

New Space, Same Mission
This quarter marked an exciting milestone as we officially moved into our new space! The transition would not have been possible without the overwhelming support from our community. We were especially grateful for the effective help of our friend and commercial realtor, Josh Cocayne, whose guidance and support were instrumental throughout the process.
We were also incredibly moved by the outpouring of love from local volunteers—many of them veterans—who showed up ready to work, organize, and bring our vision to life. Because of you, our new space is not just functional, but truly feels like home.

Upcoming Recharges
We’re excited to prepare for our upcoming scuba diving recharges with Army Veterans Devin Wooldridge, Combat Engineer, and Allen McChancey, Cavalry Scout, joined by their spouses. In partnership with Florida Dive Company, these experiences will take place at Blue Spring State Park, providing a unique and refreshing environment for connection and renewal. We can’t wait to get back in the water and share meaningful time with these deserving veterans—creating opportunities to reconnect and recharge.

DONOR SPOTLIGHT
We extend our sincere thanks to a generous donor for their incredible $1,000 contribution to Recharge for Vets. Your support makes a meaningful difference in our ability to serve and uplift veterans, and we are truly grateful for your commitment to our mission.
What’s New?
Check out and share our newly updated website to help spread the word about our mission. We’ve recently added several new features, including an easy way to apply as a volunteer, making it simpler than ever to get involved and support our efforts in a meaningful, hands-on way.
We’re especially excited to introduce a new Item Request Form, created specifically to streamline access for Veterans in need of household goods and essential items. This update helps us connect more directly with those we serve and respond more efficiently to requests for support.
Volunteers continue to play a vital role in our mission—helping with office organization and inventory management, assisting with administrative tasks, supporting social media and outreach efforts, and helping prepare for and run upcoming recharge events. Whether behind the scenes or on-site, every contribution helps expand our impact.

This quarter, we were also proud to donate items to Residing Hope as part of our continued commitment to giving back. If you’re a Veteran in need, you can now easily apply through our updated Item Request Form, and if you’d like to donate, we warmly welcome your support as we continue serving those who’ve served.
